I just got through installing my front sway bar, 3/4" stock version installed upside down to clear bumper brackets. What a differance in handleing. Along with the cambor compensator the car now handles like a race car instead of a Model A.
The problem is it sits really low. About 4 inches off the ground. Anyone else have there's this low? Any problems hitting anything? The only thing that scares me is a pot hole popping up on me when I'm not looking and crusing at 70mph. Actually I just went out in the garage and measured it and it's only 2-1/2" from the ground to the bottom of the sway bar. I guess thats o.k. the bottom of the front bumper is 5-1/2" so I'm not going to run over anything very tall anyway.

Dale, I bought the stock version. I did a search regarding sway bars and a lot of people installed the stock version upside down to clear the bumper brackets. So that's what I did. I just didn't figure it would be that low.
Recardo, I didn't want to cut the bumper brackets and have them re- welded, but I might just have to do that.
Im not sure but if I flip the bar back the way it's subposed to go on it will just barely fit under the bumper bracket, which doesn't leave any room for movement. How much movement is needed? Actually it may be barley touching the bracket.
Recardo & JJ, I never thought about pulling the bumper brackets off the car and having it done (duh). I was thinking it had to be done on the car. Sometimes you can't see your hand when it's right in front of your face!
Stacey, thanks for the info. I put the car back up on the ramps today and tweeked the bar a little and I now have a little more than 3" clear from the ground to the bottom of the bar. I only have 5-1/2" of ground clearance to the bottom of the front bumper.
