low hanging A-1 exhaust

had installed a-1 exhaust on 05 jps. Hangs too low. Any suggestions as to how to raise it a bit? not just the tip, but entire unit. Thanks in advance. Bob

the header's are too low? or the muffler? or the tip?

It's a Type 1? i don't think there are many other systems that will get you more clearance. posting some pictures of the issues would help.

i have an A1 on a T4, and it's insanely high

My A-1 IS the lowest point on the car. The bottom collector tube running across the back. I don't think it could go any higher.

the edge of my muffler bumps once in awhile, i have alot more respects for speedbumps, pitches where 2 roads come together ans so on.

You can't raise the header in it's present configuration unless you raise the engine.
Regarding the muffler, that was the low-point of my system.
So I got rid of that POS and installed a Flowmaster Hushpower.
No problems with clearance, don't have to remove it to adjust the valves and it sounds way better than the original.

thanks for the insight, guys. reconfigured the final pipe before the tip. also shortened the tip and raised it a bit. It is what it is.
