Two days of rain, and the salt is gone from the roads.  Finally some good weather here on the coast in NH, sunny, and mid 40's.  Good day for a drive, turning 5,555 miles today!  For anyone not familiar with NH, we have 17 miles of coastline, and about 4 miles of beaches, and lots of rock!  However, not much traffic!  The car is running superbly.  Great Day!

David,  the trick with the traffic is the time of day, particularly on I-95.  Here on the coast road not much traffic, except on weekend beach days.  Most of the traffic is from MA heading to Maine.  Beach parking is a problem in NH, unless you have a town resident sticker. (I can walk)  If you are a NH resident this is all good news!  After living in NY, and being taxed to death (they also tax for death), for 33 years, this is heaven!

The 40-50's are great weather for an aircoooled car they seem to really like the coldish weather.

Yeah,  I am surprised with how little cockpit windage there is compared to a lot of other cars.  When I drove up from FL a couple of weeks ago, I had the top all the way. Windows really cut the windage.  Sunny here today also, but busy with a audio swap out on another car.

I sure like your car, John. Mine is an older IM first registered in 1983. Just a plain Jane older IM speedster. We've put lot's of miles on it though. Here's a pic we took in Biddeford, Me back in 2012.

El Guapo would not like the NH coast - About the time he got his "Go-Pro" running to film the beaches, he'd already be out of state!  And for MUSBJIM, the water temp at Hampton Beach in August is a tepid 48-52F!  NH surfers are a hardy bunch.

The car looks super, John.  Have a great time with it!

Nice car John.  I made it from Vancouver BC to Monterey CA down the coast and there was still 6 hours drive down to San Diego to see El Guapo, man that hombre has a long coast line to follow.

David, I have had the car less then a month and just over a thousand miles, most of which was the drive from FL (and car train).  The car has been very impressive. The engine is unbelievably smooth, and the handling fantastic.  Beyond that it is a very comfortable car to sit in for long periods of time.  I can't say that about most sport cars or other special interest cars I have owned, or own.  And it is great for short runs around town, i.e. the "errand car"; a good reason to get out of the house!  If you haven't seen the following youtube video, worth a look at:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOjrSTcroCw

John, I have been contemplating heading out to the Northern NY area, Ithaca NY in the winter is very nice would love to see the area in the summer with other New England areas.  The Canadian East coast is where I have been in the past  but not yet in my IM.  Ray

Ray,  plenty of good driving through the Adirondack Mountains of the real "upstate" NY (way North of Albany), and better yet in VT and northern NH, then crossing into ME.  Stay away from I-95 and the Souther tier of VT & NH.
