I picked up a spare for the car and also have a full set of steel wheels and have a question with regard to mounting the steel wheel.
I'm currently running Fuchs with lug nuts attaching to studs but with the steel wheel the countersink on the lug hole is extended above the mounting flange of the wheel as opposed to the Fuch wheel which is below the flange. With the spare I have little concern in mounting the wheel as it would be temporary but if I run the steelies would the lug nuts work ?,There is enough thread, its just the extended mounting hole off of the flange that seems funky.
My past experience with Saabs and Volvos has been that the wheel was held to the disck/drum with a lug nut threaded into the disk/drum.
Any thoughts.
