WHAT DO U GUYS THINK ABOUT ME INSTALLING MY SPEEDSTER LUGGAGE RACK TO MY COUPE?

My vote is NEIN - they look out of place on an outlaw or flared body replica.

I think it looks smooth and slippery without the extra hardware.

hook up one of the trailers from your complex.
pic number 2 is the only rack you need, perhaps in the back seat..

We like the look with a rack. These cars were made for cross-country trips and were used that way for years. It adds to the nostalgic look.

WHAT I AM TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH IS HAVE JPS INSTALL IT - BASICALLY DRILLING HOLES. THAN I CAN REMOVE IT AND IF NECESSARY ATTACH FOR THE 2011 MORRO BAY TRIP. LOOKING TO CARRY A SPARE TIRE ON LONG TRIPS. JUST DIDNT KNOW IF I WANTED TO DRILL HOLES THAT U CANT REALLY SEE FOR A RACK ILL PROBABLY USE ONCE OR TWICE A YEAR

Unless you're freeing up trunk space for the tire by putting the luggage on a rack.

Cory is right. There isn't much material where they drill the holes in the deck lid. If you do install it, just put your panties in it. You can strap the spare tire on the roof. That, with the rack, will really enhance the look of this beautiful car. Yeah, right.

I have forgotten how much room there is in that trunk, but would one of those space saver spares work?

Anybody ever try to put a continental kit on a 356?

Scissor jack, tire pump, needle nose, and a tire plug kit. Will handle 90% of flats and you don't need to drag a spare tire around.
