Jim, is this a bolt-on" for a CMC, or would it be necessary to modify the grille or the rack...or both? Thanx....../john

Regretfully, it will not work for me as I didn't know of the size related difference between CMC and VS rear deck grills I have the two CMC speedster projects thus it won't work on either car.

If you have no other takers I will hold up my end and purchase the rack .

Too bad this won't fit on the CMC (sounds like too much re-configuration). Anyway, no need to buy something you don't need. Somebody out there will eventually decide they could use an item like this. Thanks for the offer!

John - I looked into fitting the VS luggage rack to my CMC -- you have to change out the CMC cast grille for the VS one and to do that you have to trim 1/4 inch around the fiberglass for it to fit. I decided it was too much work --- and that it would probably stress crack the fiberglass.

The $ that I sent FINALLY got to Jim safely, and he sent the rack in just a day or two!

You guys ALL missed out on just a terrific deal and an even MORE terrific accessory. Jim shined it up to show quality and packed it up in some of the most unbelievably priced real estate adverts that I ever seen.

Everyone complains about the housing stock here in the greater metro Boston area going through the roof; WOW!! The roof has just been raised considerably! I can't imagine what you would have to do as a prefession to afford to buy in at those prices, plus the continued land taxes would surely kill you in the end run.

Houses in Irvine cost a lot because you're just around the corner from Vintage in Hawaiian Gardens (oh yeah, and that Disneyland thing, too!)
