Skis?
Puh-leeze...... Be creative, people! Even the Germans have done skis! There are ski areas in Northern Iran and South America!! EVERYONE has done skis!
Think about stuff that you might do that would be cool! Grill spatulas or something (I know...With my new heater, I can now do "pouch cooking" and use some of Julia Child's recipes, like garlic shrimp, Lemon Chicken Parisienne, a fresh filet of striped bass in lemon grass and a lite vinaigrette, maybe some flounder in "Herbs de Provence" for shorter trips, or maybe some Italian or Swedish meatballs for a hot grinder when you get there?.....YOU get the idea. The sky's the limit when you have a gas heater!)
How about a decent axe or saw for you "North Woodsmen" out there? Or an antique cordwood saw? That's pretty light... Strap it right on!
Or how about a (fake) guitar? Maybe a "National" steel one (or not...) 'Heading out to a gig, huh? You play rhythm or Lead? '
Or, if you're headed to wine country (and every part of the USA is "wine country"), then how about a couple of Magnums strapped back there?
I've been toying with the idea of getting a Leitz just to modify it to hold my Trek Madone road bicycle. Now, THAT would be cool, and I think I could do better than this:
Just remember........Getting that rack is the start of a slippery slope. Next, you'll be wanting the set of matched luggage for behind the seats:
Trust me, you don't want to go there.....
Troy: On the stickers......Do a google search on "Fly Fishing Travel Stickers" and you'll probably find all that I posted and more (you don't think I work hard to find this stuff, do you?)
Really nice creel, BTW........
