After seeing the picture of Riches car with the monster 2.7 L Raby Type-4 motor, It got me motivated to get my car started for the season.  This is the first Spring with my Subaru IM after hibernation. It was was undercover for about 5 months.  I uncovered it turned the key and started right up :-)

I was very surprised at how smooth it ran.  My newer cars after several weeks of not being started seem to hiccup more than the Subaru IM did.  I have to give some credit to the battery tender.  Anyways, I went for about a 10 mile ride getting through all 5 gears and it was a pleasure to say the least.  I had a smile from ear to ear just like the first day she arrived.  I count my blessings that I was able to afford a car like this.  Yeah, I work hard, but so do a lot of other guys.

The coolest thing about our little cars  is that they are fun to drive 30 miles an hour as well as any other higher speed!

Marty, that is awesome!!!!!!! I am chomping at the bit to take delivery of my suby IM......  I emailed with Henry last night. Sounds like the motor is being installed and will be running tomorrow and then they are going to test it for a week..... Maybe that's why yours runs so well after being put away........they do things right and test and retest them....doesn't help me today though when it's sunny and 60 and I dreaming about delivery and reading the SOC site....   Sounds great though... Enjoy!!!  I actually am getting a little concerned now about being able to take delivery in two weeks or so and then still have time to get the reg figured out in time to cruise to Carlisle..... Been waiting a year because I switched mid stream to a liquid cooled, and cruising to Carlisle has been my dream the whole time....i even got my wife committed to coming.........we'll see!
