Gabe,I'm closer than you think. I live in Placentia at Lakeview & Orangthorpe. I've seen you a couple of times turning from Rose onto Orangethorpe in the morning. Several times when I thought about driving my Speedster but thought it was a little to cold and there you went making me feel like a wuss! I did talk to Kirk and he said they do that type of thing but I would like to have somebody close by in case of an emergency.
Ken,
It's super simple to do that work yourself.
The problem with having someone else adjust the valves is you have to do it when the engine is cold, as in the morning before the car has run.
Pick a speedster buddy close by and have them come over and help you do it the first time. After adjusting the valves, Take it out for a spin over to McD's and by your buddy an egg mcmuffin, go back home and change the oil. You want to do that when the oil is warm.
I did talk to Kirk and he said he can take care of it but I think Proformance may be the way to go. Close to home and well recommended. Thanks for your help. On another matter I've noticed it seems every year there is a trip to Chino Airport thru Carbon Canyon. Is there a chance that trip may be coming up in the near future?
