Last week took off front wheel to install foldable footrest that Bruce donated to Carlisle raffle.
1.Discovered steering box was empty.Tried to install light grease with lousy Harbor Freight air operated gun and flexible hose no luck-there is only about 3 inches of room between top of box and floor of trunk. I pumped in 90 weight trans oil with old fashioned hand operated oil gun-no leaks yet. Box did not need adj.
2.Wire brushed surface rust and applied rustoleum to top of pan where leaky master cylinder had ruined paint-previously replaced mc.
3.Corrected poor ground on brake light circuit.
4. Cleaned and painted porsche red brake calipers that Vintage had installed when they built car in 2006. They appear to be Karmann Ghia 1972-plenty of meat left on pads.
5.Finally installed foot rest-very well engineered-Comfortable & the foldable feature is handy when my wide foot gets too far left on clutch pedal-thanks again Bruce.
6.What will be next with the tub-after 5 yrs of ownership I accept that it never ends.
7.As a reference to our maturity my 5 yr old and 7 yr old grandsons call each other poopie head.
