I do admire the Porsche-free badging, and the leather.

$59k USD for a pan based VS (assumed but not stated). WOW high hopes?
The guy won't get $59 CDN for that car. If he says it's been converted from CDN to US dollars, then he's saying the CDN price is in the 70s.
Good luck with that.
The compass, has lost true north in pricing cars these days, buyer beware.
Yes, looks like VS to me too, although I can't fit the VIN to a VW year.
Isn't there difficulty in importing US built speedsters to Canada? That scarcity could account for some of the high price.
it is Vintage Motorcar. With the features on it, it is around ~$13K CAD more than buying directly. Now with this price listed it includes the shipping from USA to CAD, import tax and the paperwork. So, the price is about right. Also you can buy it right now and you don't need to wait for a year.
Wasn’t someone recently looking at/ inquiring about this specific Vintage Motorcars? A newbie looking for advice/guidance located in Canada? Just rings a bell...

Nice looking car, I love the color combo. But I agree with Bob, not a chance that basic car brings 70K in Canada unless from someone who has no idea what they're worth or possesses more money than brains.
As far as someone else asking about importing cars to Canada, there was a recent thread or conversation because I wondered if the dealer was lying/skirting on the registration of a (2015 I believe) car as a 195_ VW which we know is possible but still illegal as far as I know here.
The newbie is likely me ;-)
The car directly cost $51K USD. It already take $3K to ship it from the west coast the east of Canada. So a mark up of $5K, with no need to do the paper work, and no mistake in the process, and have it available right away makes sense. There are different viewpoints to look at it. Experts will know a way to get it cheaper, newbie are learning for this and from others,
I paid 1100-1200 USD less than a year ago for an open carrier from San Rafael CA to Hudson Valley NY(60 miles north of NYC). It was maybe 500 more for enclosed carrier.
I did get my Spyder shipped through Intercity Lines for about 2200 in 2016.
3K Canadian? That's $2400 USD. A little steep but not too bad.
Good luck, Carlos, it seems you're doing your research.
The exotic car market has gotten crazy here in the true north. A Mclaren 600LT Spider is selling for $28K more than I paid for it last year, same model year. 2013 Ferrari 458s are selling for around $260K, which is what I sold mine at in 2017. There is a demand for these cars as people want something different and they are not easy to get. Many like me are tired of boring but fast cars without soul, I’ve had 2 992 Porsche 911s that lulled me to sleep, and were just ok on the track. I’ve got dealers begging me to sell my cars. I will pay around 70K for this type of car, see if I like the experience, and if not sell it in 3 years for maybe 40K, 10K a year for the experience will not kill me. It’s the same for all my exotics. I think life may be cheaper in the US right now. We are in a real estate bubble. A friend of mine bought a house on my street for $5.2 million so he could tear it down and build a new one, that money was for the lot, it’s 100’ by 250’. I can only imagine what that money gets you for a house in the US. Crazy!
KenTO, i can only echo this! Ferrari Montreal and Toronto inventory is almost sold out over the last months. A house that our friend sold last year for $1.5M in Nova Scotia, sold just for $4M... :-[

My lot is 150 X 250, tell him to come buy mine!
I have had two friends sell their homes recently for 200K over asking, 40 showings, 16 offers. That used to get you the whole house lol
You are right, my parents built a huge house with a 3 car garage in the 80s on 4 acres, 200K all in. I feel sorry for young couples right now, no way I would buy a house in this market.

What color is the paint, and what color or name is the leather interior? Is that Salt/Pepper carpet? Seller doesn't have much of a description.
Wonder if his wife is making him sell? (Yeah Honey, I listed it 6 months ago!)
Maybe https://rennbow.org/porsche-colors/BlueMetallic and "baseball glove" is what I've been seeing the leather called.
