Making the deal

I've been looking at Speedsters for the past 15 years but never made the jump.  Thought I'd have to wait until I retired to get one. Over the years I've read this forum front to back and then again.  Happened to be browsing the other day and I saw that Troy Sloan had another Speedster for sale. Luckily I have a good memory and remembered his email address from an inquiry I made several years ago.  Also fortunately for me he lives in the same town so I was able to drive right over and see the Silver/Oxblood Speedster he was about to list.  Talked about it, drove it, thought about it, and now I'm buying it. I went to the bank to get Troy a deposit and there he was in line. I didn't even have to drive across town to give it to him. He's a very patient man as well since I have about a million questions floating around in my head.

 

Is this when the Madness begins?

If you're not living life on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

Not yet....it's still in Troy's garage.  Waiting for the check from my investment fund to get here. I didn't sleep the first night though for the reasons you stated.  I keep asking myself, "Did I really just buy myself a Speedster?" Still hasn't sank in yet.

Looking forward to going.  My wife and I love SLO. My son may be going to cal Poly next year so that'll give us another reason to go down there.

Speaking of which do you or does anyone know what weekend that will be?  Need to reserve a friend's house for whatever week it is and I'd like to get a jump on it.
