I'd say I'm officially finished building her. 26 months, 5 suspension setups, and up an down on jack stands more times that i can count.

It's not totally done as my winter TODO is getting to be close to a page and includes a motor rebuild and boxster rollbar, but i'm happily driving her now.

I thought I'd share a few recent photos i had taken by a professional (and me taking them of him)

For those who have not seen my site - it documents the whole build - soup to nuts. all 1500 photos. the site is nearly all pictures.

The goal of the site is to help you guys (and girls). i know i could have used something like this many many times when i was knee deep in something i wasn't sure how to do.

thanks you guys.

The suspension goes *a lot* lower. I've set the torsion bars at the ride height i like the most (adjustable beam and spring plates). if the road is bumpy - i throw in 20 or so psi, if there is a speed bump, jack it up to about 90psi.

oh - shocks in the front bag in the rear (Monroe MA756's are the ones you want with ball joint front end) and CONITECH double convoluted /ply bags in the rear.

It seems to be the perfect setup. it handles like it's on rails when it's down on the bars, but i can still drive in comfort (like a couch!) and get in any driveway.

I had the alignment (6 hours!!!) done at the torsion bar setting. It's pretty interesting to feel the caster change driving down the highway. It's subtle (not dangerous), but you can really feel the geometry change. i can crank down the caster in parking lots to easily steer, and way up on the highway to steer with one finger.

I have to admit though, I'm a little restless with no looming car project. With my wife expecting in a few months - i think i couldnt have timed this better. :)
I'll join in and declare that this work of art is awesome. The color combo just works. Fit and finish seems perfect, and all the running gear/suspension stuff (which I do not pretend to understand) seems like an engineering marvel. The really raked pose in one shot reminds me of a hot rod, and looks a bit suspicious on a Speedster: not what I would go for, as a rule. But such a look! Fabulous workmanship -- something to be very proud of.
