Use a good quality VW metal cannister filter between your fuel tank and carbureter and make sure your air filter integrity is 100%. Also check your fuel tank - it may need to be cleaned and sealed.
Poor quality rubber fuel lines can deteriorate internally so also check the integrity of the fuel filters in the Weber banjo inlets.
unfortunately there are no really good Weber Manuals, but some are available on Ebay or from Amazon.
