marathon rim straighting

I have 6 spare of these rims for my super beetle . All are clean and rust free,, but 4 are in poor trueness. they need to be straightened.

Who would be the best company to send them off to? to get then perfect..

Remmeber its for a superbeetle with struts they have to be perfect.

I'm on the east coast , Im looking at Wheel Wizard in VT.and Rim and Wheel Repair. in Mas. any good ones closer to N.C.?

I'm strictly California, don't know about the east. Search Samba, 356 Registry, and best forum sites is all I can help out with. I suggested Stockton Wheel only because I've heard them mentioned so often elsewhere. Where ever you go, I'd go with experience though.
Add-as a shot-in-the-dark maybe Stockton can give you a reference to a shop out where you live.

There are a couple of places just outside of Boston (Massachusetts) that work on rims. Straightening, widening, refinishing, etc.

Even if you shop hard, it still averages around $125. per rim. You shouldn't spend that kind of coin on a Marathon wheel, they're just too common.

I got a set from the guy from Rutland, MA who's selling another set on TheSamba for $300. I can recommend him highly, his wheels and everything that he sells is top quality.

The ones I have are nice enough for standard I just waned them trued to a 1/16 of a inch so the would be better on the super. I have 11 rims now. Just wan o fix the best ones

Not to give you a hard time, but how about these:

They look almost identical to the Marathon wheels, but they're made from alloy so they'll straighten easier (if straightening is even necessary) and cheaper, they look cooler, and with the reduction in weight between steel and alloy, you won't have a much vibration to tune out of the Super Beetle front suspension.

I went through three steering links on Gary's Super before we got the front end right. THEN we switched to ATS alloys and it got even better!

Just a thought . . .
