The bulb in one of my Marchal driving lights has failed and I need a replacement. As you'd expect, the local auto parts stores look at it wide eyed and say "We ain't gonna have one of those." The only place I've found any is eBay, which means PayPal, which I hate using. Does anybody know of another source?

danielsternlightingdotcom is a great source as is nlapartsdotcom.
Thanks!
Well poop! Neither carries these bulbs. They are 12v, 45W and have three equidistant nubs on the circumference for holding them in the socket. I found some bulbs on eBay that look exactly like them except those have two contacts on the bottom and mine only have one. I assume that mine use the socket barrel as a contact and the ones on eBay don't.
Any ideas?
Post a picture of the bulb you want to replace.
Sierra Madre Collection sells them in both clear and yellow. I think they're $25 bucks a pop though.
Look up Tracey Imports in MA. She sells in pair at $40.
I am sure she can do an over the phone order. I do not have a number.
Looks like they show what you need here, though EU site: http://www.vintagemotorspares....ndocument&part=7
The 1250 style. Though you could upgrade to the brighter 1250H if you can find them.
I suppose you could try an H3 conversion too: http://www.sure-vent.com/Marchal.htm
And you can pay with a credit card on eBay. Paypal still processes the transaction, but you don't actually need a paypal account.
That H3 conversion is sweet. Might try tackling that as soon as I dig my bench out from under the rubble that was once my shop......
Those two site indicated that I might have been passing over correct bulbs because the pictures looked wrong with the bulb holder attached. Gotta go back to NLA, Stoddard, etc.
I have to admit, though, that the 1250H looks promising, albeit pricey. Wonder what shipping would be.
