I'm posting this for a friend in the area and have no financial interest in it, nor do I have any technical info beyond what is in the ad.  (I haven't seen the car in a few years).

1968 PORSCHE 912 COUPE

 1968 Sand Beige, black interior 912 SWB Coupe is reluctantly offered for sale.  It is equipped with 5 dash gauges and the optional 5 speed transmission and is a matching numbers car.  The engine was overhauled 34,320 miles ago.  It has reconditioned split shaft carbs, clutch, brake pads, heater ducts and new battery.  Tires are Michelin XZX 165 x 15’s.  Recently dyno tuned by ACS Racing ( 781-982-9434  or email at info@acsracing.com

IIRC, it is the same color as Angela Rose Lane's "Butters".  I think hers is a 912, as well.  I actually like the 912 version better than the 911 and, as you mentioned, Carlos, this one is in very extraordinary shape for the money with just the right options (like that 5-speed!)   It has been stored for the past several years as the owner's health declined, but George Nelson, the guy who maintains quite a few of the local 356/912 cars, didn't have to do much to get it in showroom shape and that's where it's headed on Monday if Ron doesn't hear from anyone before then.  

If you ever wanted a primo example of a 912 that you could certainly drive home, this is not the time to procrastinate.

Yes, This is my dream car, but I am not ready. Prolly be at 60k something in a couple of years when I am. Damn these tupperwaremobiles!
