Karon,
This group of people are well behaved and we have a lot of fun...
I called the hotel to get rates, they are rather steep. starts
at 315.00 a night there are many hotels in the area, I think most of us will be returnintg that evening......This perticular trip will not require you bringing anything. The wine country tour that we do we will have a pot luck type lunch, thats in june if we do as last year.....
I will have the meeting place in Long Beach firmed up in the next day or so for next saturday........
Vince,

Thanks for the info on the run. As I said earlier we are very excited about next Saturday...

We too were thinking since it's not to far away that returning that evening would be do-able....

I've posted in regards to the wine run up north so you can count us in for that as well..

Looking forward to meeting you and the "bunch" next weekend...

The Denny's is right off the 405 fwy and Bellflower Blvd.
It's between Spring Street and Willow on the East Side of Bellflower Blvd.

If anyone is like George and I (starbucks junkies) there is also a Starbucks in the parking lot right next to Denny's.

Thanks for the Pics. Looks Great!!!!

Ok everyone, exit the 405 at bellflower and the Denny's will be right there.....
We meet at 8:00 leave no later than 8:30, take PCH to Dana point
and head to the 5 south to the La Costa exit..... we will be at the Chevron no later that 10:30.....looks like most everyone will be headed back home that evening rather than stay over, good news for me, cause it means no hauling the trunk....

Joe L, good to hear from you glad you can make it...I had your cell from last year....
David, where the %&*!^& are you.....
Walter The route has been planned! Skip back a few days to my post and you can see specific directions. We will be starting the "Southern" half of the tour at the Chevron station located at the La Costa exit off Highway 5. The LA boys will arriving at 1030 and we will be leaving shortly after. Hope to see you there.

To all: Just finished talking to the folks at Thunder Ranch and they will be looking forward to us making a "Pit Stop" at their brand new immaculate shop halfway to Coronado. Lots of neat cars to look at including Speedsters, Spyders, RSK's, a rear engined 34 Ford Roadster, a 1968 Triumph motorcycle, and a one of a kind Grand Prix motorcycle. Refreshments will be served. Dave Balser
Vince don't make us Escondio folks drive that winding lake road to La Costa, I just hate that, especially in the morning on the weekend when nobodys on it, don't make us!!!

Wally, I live in Escondido, near Felicita and I15, my daughter and I will be driving Del Dios to La Costa in the morning to meet up. Give me a call at 760-294-1470 if you would like to meet up for the drive over. The Starbuck in the Major market Parking lot would be good. Either way welcome.

Larry Bull
Vince,

I will join the caravan south at Newport Beach (Crystal Cove). What time do you think you may be in Newport? 9 to 9:30? I will make the drive down to La Costa and then might have to turn it around depending on the time of day. I am coaching my son's little league team later in the day, but don't want to miss a chance to drive a few hours down the coast with you guys. I will plan on being at Cyrstal Cove by 9 am. My cell is 949.735.5467.

See you on then.

Oz

Dan, if you can coordinate a meeting place with Oz, so that you guys are together when we get there it would help us out and I only have to make one call......
David S. put the ad on Samba and i'm not sure I can change it....
I've had the flu since the middle of last week and not over it yet..
Will someone please see if they can get the Samba ad changed to reflect whats happening now...
Thanks
Dan/Vince:

I will have my cell phone and I think the best place to be is the turnout by the old date shake shack. It is just north of crystal cove (less then half a mile) and on the south side (Ocean side) of PCH. Vince call me when you hit Corona Del Mar area. Dan and I will be waiting with engines running. We will just pull in the rear as you go by. That didn't sound right? Well you know what I mean.

Thanks,

Oz
david B sent this to me earlier today, we need to make a decision on parking at the hotel based on the below......
I vote for the 5.00 option, but I want to here from some of you..

Just talked to the Parking Guru at the Del trying to arrange some
preferred parking where we can all park together and here is the deal. He will set aside as many spots as we need in the Valet area, this area is close to the front entrance, where everyone can see the cars, and the charge will be $5.00 for the first 3 hours and $5.00 for every hour thereafter, based on the assumption we consume food and or beverage in mass quantities and we get our stub validated. Option two would be he would save spots for us in the general area for $3.00 for the first 3 hours and $3.00 for every hour thereafter based on the same assumption. I need to get back to him by Thursday to let him know.
Oz and Gabe,
I have recorded your numbers. Gabe,I will be taking the 241 over the hill to Jamboree-MacArthur-PCH, if you are interested we can caravan to Crystal Cove. My departure time will somewhat depend on my right seater situatiom which I will finalize on Friday. I do like to go down to Crystal Cove early (7am) to take-in the interesting cars and people that ususally show-up so I will probably attempt an early arrival.
Dave B from SD,

Not to sound too non-commital, but I will try to make the whole trip to the Del. There is a strong chance that my time available will not allow me to go past the initial S.D. checkpoint. Does anyone know the approximate remaining drive time from the first S.D. stop to Coronado?

Thanks,

Dan
