Saw a new show for the first time on the Motor Trend channel. Motor Trend used to be the Velocity channel. Anyway, there seems to be 100's of "Buy, Fix, Flip" car shows on now and the one I just watched was called Goblin Works. They resorted a 1980's rubber bumper MGB Speedster. They removed the ugly front and rear rubber bumpers and did some body work to reshape the front and rear along with some other work. I personally thought the finished product looked pretty nice.

I couldn't find a clip of just the show's ending but here's the episode:

The MGB was a nice solid car back in '70s.  Fun to drive just took tinkering every weekend if you wanted to get to work on Monday.  Even the soft top was effective on the windup window models.  I had a 2 year (1968-69) only MGC with a 3L 6 cylinder AH 3000 engine and 4 speed with OD trans.  A manual trans was an option.  It came in convertible and GT versions. Had 2 bubbles in the hood to accommodate the engine.  Also had 15 (not 14)" 72 spoke wire wheels.  It was costly to maintain so in 1972 I traded it in on a Porsche 914.  There was also a short-lived V8 version.

Other than exotic British sports cars (Jag, Lotus, etc) - regretfully, the poor bloke's cars just haven't appreciated much.
