Meade's oil press gauge pegs out "MAX" when power is applied..... This happens with the sender disconnected at the gauge or engine.... I "assumed" the gauge was shot, but now wonder if the sender might be the culprit..... Anyone know how its supposed to work, or a quick "meter check"...???? VDO with typical single post sender and press switch is a seperate unit....

Disconnect the wire from the sender and ground it. See if the gauge moves.
Thanks Stan..... That is apparently the problem..... Grounding the wire gives a "ZERO PSI" on the gauge..... Looks like a dead sender....
I'm glad it worked. It looks like I was batting about .500 yesterday afternoon with electrical advice.
