Any IM owners out there than can take a measure for me. I would like to get a measure on the space behind the seats with the top up. Preferably a late model Roadster. I saw a sleek leather duffle I may purchase. Thanks.

Without doing the measurement I doubt you would have a problem putting any usual size or army size duffle bag back there.

I've got a huge duffle bag from Pig industries that was originally supplied to store a long piece of their oil absorbant spill barrier dam, a thing that's about a foot in diameter and at least 25' long. It's big enough to carry the entirety of a 6' tall dismembered fat lady carefully packed, and it fits in the space behind my IM seats.

I can measure later - you just need front to back, or across the space? Presumably with the seats back?
To give you a rough idea, I make it approx. 24" from rear seat bottom to inside bow of top, approx 18" from seat back at midpoint of track to lowered top/back of seating area (with caveat that the harness seatbelts and top if lowered would need to be manipulated in order to obtain the measurement) and an easy 40" from side to side of the car innards with top lowered, speakers installed.

Neither my wife nor I can imagine a duffel type piece of luggage that couldn't be gotten in there with the top up, and she said that two of the largest she's ever known would fit easily because of the soft mallable nature of a duffel bag.

'Course, you could always fly up there again to look for yourself, Marty :) I'd say you've got a reason.
My Speedster's an older one, Marty so our measuremnts probably wouldn't count. One thing we did learn while travelling is to forego large bags and use a bunch of smaller ones. If the roof's up and it's raining, it's no fun trying to wrestle a large, heavy bag from the back seat over into the front seats to get it out. When travelling we divvy things up as much as possible...my clothes, my toiletries, camera(s) bag, her clothes, her toiletries, more of her clothes, more of her toiletries, shoes and more shoes etc. etc. Then there's the cooler, stuff to put in it, not to mention incidentals along the way. Big bags restrict your flexibility and comfort if travelling two up.
