I'm a newbie and just purchased my first speedster replica. It's 4 years old with just 600 miles on it. Built by Vintage Speedsters in Hawaiian Gardens, CA. Can I get some recommendations for a good mechanic in South Orange County, CA? Thanks!

Jon - I'm in irvine and I've always taken my VS to a shop in Mission Viejo, Unique Imports (near intersection of Jeronimo & Alicia Parkway). They are pretty good guys and have always taken good care of my car. The owner, Chip, is a friend of mine. Let him know I sent you and they'll hook you up!

The other option is a fellow SOCer by the Name of Larry Jowdy. Larry is top-notch and can diagnose and fix whatever ails your car. He has dialed-in many SOCer cars and is located in Ontario (San Bernardino co). Bit of a drive, but worth the expertise. I don't have his number but a 'Search' on here will help.

BTW- you may, or may not know about the weekly car gathering in Irvine, Cars & Coffee. It happens 07:00 every Saturday morning (rain or shine) at the Ford Design building next to the Spectrum (405 & 5 junction). You should drive your car there sometime to check out the cool cars that show up.
