Reluctantly I am planning on selling my 2001 Vintage
Speedster with the following specifications:
Meissen blue (factory color) with black top, full black tonneau and black interior, 1776cc with dual kadrons, 3:88 fwy flyer trans, disc brakes, banjo steering wheel with porsche horn button, all porsche emblems, cd player, bumper guards. This car is in "as-new" condition and always garaged and covered. Only 2,600 miles. The color must be seen in person to appreciate. This car would cost $22k plus to buy new, a great deal at $17,500 firm. Serious inquiries only please.
Car is located in So California. Email dtpandtlp@aol.com or call 909-741-2812 for more detail.

I think we sell'um to cheep. So much fun for so little. I know that Vintage, JPS and others are now starting to raise the price of some turn-key mods. And they can take months to build. I think that some of our cars can be sold for more money. 16 or 17k For our cars is to low 18-19 or even 20 is far. No DMV BS just a change in ownership then drive it home. Now that has to account for something. Dan you should be able to sell it for what you paid for it. ( well almost)

The family in this picture below will remember the trip they took to the Del even more cuz they got to take a picture in a Vintage 356.

My 2 cents!

I forwarded this info to a speedster-less friend, his reply was, "What is wrong with it?" inferring at that price sumpin' gots to be wrong... Like was said earlier, (attention to detail, good equipment selections and of course, condition are all important criteria) perhaps we as a group need to raise the bar a bit?

Certainly 'need to sell' reasons factor in and can greatly influence amended pricing...

I am in the process of 'splaining to my insurance company why I have revalued my car upwards recently. I'm not certain how that is going to play out, but bucks into the car do add up and while it isn't for sale, those dollars need to be accounted for and protected in the interim.
