MEMORIAL RUN FOR MR BILL

Wanted to give planning time to u guys.
Sept 9th will be the one year anniversary of Bill's death. That is a Friday. Was thinking to meet up at Newcombs Ranch off route 2 on Saturday, Sept 10 have a beer at Bills favorite watering hole and place some flowers at the accident site. 12:45 on the 9th was the last time I chatted with Bill as he was leaving Newcombs to head home. If anyone would like to join Carrol and I please let me know.

Regretfully, I will not be able to make this Memorial Cruise.

As timing would have it, my son's wife is due to deliver their first child on that weekend. Soooo, we're on baby watch for the next week. With this addition, Ginny & I will have 6 grandkids to spoil. Needless to say we are all very excited!

I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but after staying with Gerd and hearing his stories, I realized that I really missed something. I will go cruising by myself at 3:45 in tribute.

When:
Saturday Sept 10, 2011, meet up at 10:00am, depart at 10:30am.

Where:
Starbucks, 8349 Foothill Blvd, Sunland, CA Just North of Oro Vista.

Directions:
From the 210 Fwy. west, exit Sunland Blvd and turn right,
OR
From the 210 Fwy. east, exit Sunland Blvd and turn left, Sunland Blvd turns into Foothill Blvd approx 1 mile to Starbucks on left. Just past Oro Vista.

Cruise on Angeles Crest Hwy to memorial site for remembrance, continue to Newcomb Ranch for lunch.

'Mr. Bill' Webster, July 8, 1960 - September 9, 2010 - R.I.P, my friend!

This coming Friday those of us doing the "Mountain Madness 2011" run in Asheville will have dinner at a Bavarian restaurant in the area. I will raise a toast to Bill, who I met at Carlisle in 2010. A very fine man, who is sorely missed.

Jim - That video is very touching and well done. I enjoyed it again. Thanks, man.

Lane - Also very cool.
