We here at Mendeola Suspension are proud to announce that we are starting on our first of hopefully many joint projects with Jake Raby Engineering. Our first project is not a Porsche Speedster, but a Speedster of another make This car will definitely be a testosterone kick in the pants that will hit any of you harder then a pack of little blue pills..... I'll keep you posted with pics and details as we can release them, and I'm sure when the car goes back to Jake's he'll share some of the details as he finishes them up..... Sorry but some things have to stay somewhat top secret........

Yep.. The JR28T coupled to a Subarugears transaxle.

 

The Turbo alone is enough to make most shake in their boots!

 

Kevin and I are already talking about a project for the two of us.. Carbon fiber body, Porsche 997.2 AWD drivetrain coupled to a Mendeola suspension with a Raby 4.2L DFI 9a1 Porsche engine making 500HP N/A.

 

We have to get through this first project and move up!

One is Porsche, the other is Subaru... The interesting thing is that both of these engines pictured use the same cylinder and piston technology. After we perfected it for the Porsches, we applied it to the Subaru program.

 

But, the interesting thing is it all started with the first set of aircooled T4 cylinders that currently live on my 2.6L engine in my 356 Outlaw :-)

Oh dam I did not catch BADSPD sneaking around the shop taking pictures. BADSPD, we were going to keep it under raps until the big reveal. Now I have to answer to Jake..... I really wish you would have asked before posting pictures of the project...... I guess I'm going to have to hire security and keep the gate closed..... Now I know how Jesse James must have felt at his shop.......

 

Any how we made some serious progress today with a trans and motor raise and forward shift and some tire and wheel package figured out.

 

Wheels and tires are as follows:

 

Fronts: 255/30/17 on 17x10 wheels

Rears: 325/30/18  on 18x12 wheels

 

Yea that's 26 inches of rubber contacting the ground in the rear and 20 inches contacting the ground in the front, and I'm not sure that will keep the tires glued to the ground with Jake's power plant........As far as going around corners I'll say two words, SLOT CAR ........
