I guess you can de-skin and then re-skin a monocoque auto....truly beautiful car. One of my favourite designs, I really regret selling my 59 way back when.

Shame to take 2 nice cars - invest 4000 hours to have one. You'd think a fiberglass replica of first one would have cut time --- but then it would be a kit car I guess.

I saw this car at the SEMA show. Having owned an original 1961 I looked this one over. Not a lot left on it from the past!

Agreed Michael, but does it capture the basic style and design of the original? From what I see, and its not "in the flesh", it seems to. That 19p SL was a beautiful car, although not much on performance.

Randy and his crew are very cool guys.They were very helpful on a T-bucket project I had,very generous with advice and had lots of good parts for it.I knew they did some neat stuff but that 190SL was pretty clean.We have a few good rod shops here in Escondido.

OMG, 650 HP? 750 ft-lb? This thing could lay rubber from here to Detroit. the extra inches (length/width) do show, but not much. I am not familiar enough w/ the original dash and interior to know, but what I see here is truly amazing. Gorgeous.
