MetalCraft chassis expert out there??

Anybody have experience with the old MetalCraft chassis that was made up in Romulus, Michigan? I hear conflicting reports regarding performance. I would like to chat with someone who is knowledgeable on chassis design that has also had experience with the MetalCraft frame. Thanks for the help!

I can't help you but I saw a post on another site where someone said larrysoffroad.com sells aftermarket square tube frames, maybe someone there can answer your question about metalcraft frames.

If you find one let me know. I am about halfway through my re-build of an 86 Metalcraft with a CMC flared body. It looks great to me. Coilover shocks and disk brakes at all four corners. Rack and pinion steering from a VW Golf I believe. Frame looks strong. No motor in it when I got it so I'll have to wait and see how I performs. Can't wait.
