I spoke with Bruce last year, nice guy. I had him sign a Manx t-shirt for my friend. My friend is coming this year WITH his lime-green original Manx, just to hang out with Bruce. And probably us a little too.....
Always loved the simplicity of the Manx. Tell your bud to come on the dinner cruises with us.
Bruce has been at Knotts for the past several years. He is truly a warm, approachable, and personable car guy. This year he was regalling a small group of us with stories of leading a group of perhaps 100 dune buggies and and an equal number of vintage beetles around the Nuremburg Ring - with him up front! What an honor! The guy has turned into a celebrity personality and world traveler as a result of building a dune buggy!
He is fully aware that he actually started a whole new genre of automotive sports with that buggy. An he claims to know where the Steve McQueen buggy from Thomas Crown Affair movie is - but would not tell anyone. He is an impressive a guy.
