ANYONE OTHER THAN VINCE KNOW ANT MIATA KIT CAR BUILDERS
Replies sorted oldest to newest
Those that make Miata replicas or those that make replicas based on Miata drivetrains? I know a good one of the latter sort if you want a trackable car: http://bauerltd.com
Those look pretty bad a$$. Took me a minute to notice that is a full body with no doors. Very cool looking.
I had a Miata rebody as a BMW Z3. A wonderful car and fooled many Z 3 owners.
I like the Simpson designs. http://www.simpsondesign.net/

Very cool also.

I would agree that the Simpson is a thing the beauty. But $95,000 for a turnkey on a used miata. OUCH!! Think I'd get a 911 IM. Or maybe a slightly used 911 Turbo.
The Exocet Miata is really sweet!
You can see it on Flyin Miata's website

No kidding. For that money it had better have some serious Flyin' Miata power upgrades - like maybe a V8.
Jim Simpson is a former business partner of my dad's and a very dear friend of ours. Last I knew the DIY kits he sold were fairly inexpensive, and I know the quality of the glasswork on the Italia 1 and the Manta are fantastic (I'm sure the other are too I just haven't seen one in person)
I was over there this AM, thinking, "that's pretty cool. I could drive one of those". Then I got the the $100k part. That better be some pretty high-quality fiberglass.
The Simpson cars come up used now and again. I saw one on Craigslist a few years back for something like $17k.
One thing sure: you won't see another like it tooling down the road.
The only high dollar one is that Italia 3 SWB. The others seem pretty reasonable. I particularly like the coupe on the 1st gen. Miata.
