Thanks for the distance info Stan and Lambros. If we wanted to gather for a tour any number of MO roads would do. I have a couple of VW/Porsche/German Car events that I'll check dates on and share tomorrow. Maybe a tour out on the river towards Columbia and back to KC? Or a tour near STL with an afternoon tour of a brewery? There is a good VW show and cruise at Eureka Springs, AR in August... great town, old Victorians, spas, etc, all built on hills, lots of shade and some incredible drives nearby. AR-7 is usually on the Top 10 List of Scenic Roads in the US... and 23 is even better. I'll check some dates. We need to see who all would be interested and then work the location based on that.
FYI: I sent in a note to the Ohio Tub Fanatics. Basically I asked them if they welcome replicas.

Below is thier response:

Hi Jerome!
You bet we do - we're not real uptight about that - as long as you have an appreciation for the Porsche 356 and you like to drive, that's all that counts! We are a driving club, most of our events include driving, eating and talking! Hope to have you join in on many of our upcoming events this year. Take care,

Since many of their get-togethers are local for me I'll probably be signin' up.

Jerome
Justin, you are now officially part of the planning committee! I will be more available now that the build is done and sitting here at Hacienda-Del-Jim-Bob. We can work up the Eureka Springs Trip easy enough, but better hustle on locating cabins or a B&B. The show is top notch and the roads are all 10s. Hoss, Steve, evryone.. I'll get the dates and set up a meet place and etc with Justin.

PS. Justin, I will be over at Life Church I-35 and Edmond Road tomorrow for a little shows and shine with our church's vehicle donation repair team raising $$. We take donated vehicles, repair and improve them and then give them to others in need. They also run an auto clinic for free. Anyway, 615-7384, bring your Speedy and check it out.
My car is unfortunately waiting for its front tube overrider. The guy I bought it from, kind of mislead me about it being ready to ship. I'm hoping he sends it next week and then I figure about 3 weeks to complete the car. The key is getting the front tube and getting it fitted. I'm hoping for 2nd week in June.
