At this point I am trying to see how many people are interested,but if I had to guess it will be around April-May.So far Ben Gulley,James Preuss,Justin Froehlich have shown interest(and of course myself).If it happens we will love to see you there.

I'd be more likely to go in May, as we occassionally still have some snow flying around in April. My schedule is pretty open, but the cash may not be there. I'l know more in the coming months.

As I mentioned in my PM to you, Easter Sunday in St. Louis is the biggest car evant of the year here: Horeselss Carriage Club sponsors it. St. Louis Kit Car Club has several Porsche replica owners and the club is invited to show cars again this year. Might be a piggy-back on that event? I am planning to have my 550 finished for the Easter Show.
I'll be in the Vaterland in early April so can't participate then. May 19 - 21 is the big Carlisle Event, so how about later in May so we can be more assured of better weather, i.e., Memorial Weekend? Maybe on that Saturday to encourage those who may be driving a good distance to have some transit time there and back.

OK,lets shoot for late May-early June.I will try to make few phone calls for hotel rezervations so we have $ idea.I will let you know as soon as I find out.
After talking to different hotels for reservations,I also asked for any scenic routes in the area.I was told that there are not any.They have 3 hwys,and the lake roads(not what we are looking for).
The hotels I called are nice and the prices range from 103-174 plus tax.There is one that I found on the internet for 79 plus tax, but when I called they told me 109.
I also asked for room availability (4-5 rooms)and all of them said they have rooms available.
It is up to you guys.Let me know.

What about down around the Eureka Springs area?
Eureka springs is my favorite with the best scenic roads around the midwest.I got married there.I picked the lake the Ozarks because is a good central location.
How about Springfield? Cheap motels, The drive to Branson is nice/not too far. Have the local vw show June 10th. 100 or better VW's and they love speedsters here. Pretty central to most. Easy hiway most ways in.

Hey Ben, do mean cheap motels, as in seedy or inexpensive. I'm fine either way.

Naw, pretty decent. There are 3 just around the corner from my house. Ironically, Motel 6, hotel 7 and Motel 8. There must be 20 or 25 motels here on the north side of town alone. We can meet at my house if you guys like.

I'm from Little Rock and Springfield is an easy (and pretty) drive for us through the Ozarks. You could count on me being there. Let me know if you have a set date yet.

Two Speedsters from OKC are planning a little road run around that time. Do we have a firm date?
June 10 was the date I thought we agreed on. There is a good size VW show here that weekend. (My club). Still a good date?
I know we agreed on that date but a friend of mine is coming over from europe that weekend(which I didn't know,it was a surprise) so it will be very hard for me to come(but I will try,sorry).Still look forward seeing you guys sometime soon.
