Anyone try to use a set of Mini Seats--newer style Mini series?

I haven't, but I had a 2011 MINI. I think you'll find the lower seat cushion and tracks will lift you well off the floor and poke you up above the windscreen. They also have airbags and sensors, etc and they are heavy. I set of Miata seats would probably be a better choice if you're looking to use an easily available model seat.

1990-1995 Mazda Miata M seats look Speedster-ish. Lots of inexpensive reupholstery kits available. The later seats seem to have integrated head rests - so less vintage looking.
