Hello -- I am trying (with no luck) to find a manufacturer who can supply a Minilite type (I will not be racing my car) 8 post wheel for my 356 replica.

I want to make it into a car that looks like a competition car, but it is only for the street.

I cannot seem to find ANYONE who makes the wheel for a 4 lug VW hub.

Your assistance would be appreciated.

Douglas,
Did you go to their site?

http://www.minilitewheels.us/default.aspx

They will make your wheel as you want but I believe they have 4-130 in stock.
Usually the problem is backspacing.
The cheaper alternative that many choose are the Empi 8-spoke wheels.

Minilites are great but I like Panasports myself.
My favorite is what I'm running now- Mahle mini burners..

EMPI makes an 8 spoke 4 lug wheel in black, grey, and polished that looks like a Mini-Lite. You can put a spinner cap on them and they look pretty nice. John Leader had a set on his latest car. If you look up his profile there are pics of them on his car. A set of 4 will be less than $400.00. Most online VW vendors have them. Where are you located?
Terry is correct, try their site. Several years ago I had a set made for my BMW 2002tii. They will custom make any offset you need, diamond cut the rim, powder coat the centers in a variety of colors. The result was a beautiful set of wheels but somewhat expensive. John (an Englishman) was my contact (jbritcars@aol.com) at the time, lived in Ohio and was quick to get back to me then. I kept in contact with him for awhile but he stopped responding to my e-mails so I do not know if he's still the rep. I'll attach a shot here and post it to the Facebook page for better quality.

Thanks for the responses.

The 5.5 width is fine because I want to keep the suspension geometry the same as it is now. I figure I can mount the tires and the 5.5 wheels, and I will not have clearance problems, and not inherit some strange handling "quirk" because of modified offsets.

BTW -- I live in the northern Kentucky area.

Again for the responses. I have been given enough "ammunition" to be able to make a proper choice.
