I just sent a WV engine case from PA to Mass for $24 via usps no less! this was a carton that measured 15 x 15 x21" 29 lbs.

Yeah USPS can be reasonable. I sent a mountain bike to Alafrigginbama for less than $50, in two cartons. Ebay charged the guy $80 for shipping, which he paid me. Sweet!
