Jake is very active at the shoptalkforums.com site. John C. pops in there from time to time. I try to support both as other engine builders and parts sellers don't make house calls like they do here, plus they are nice guys. John Steele has also been MIA, another nice guy.
Here is a thought, though it would never work out. It would be really neat if John, Kirk, and Henry would each make a guess appearance here on a rotating basis, say each one drops by one evening a month, in other words every three weeks each checks in to answer questions about their cars, etc.
What will ruin it is if pilgrims start asking why he should be X car over Y car, or if tunnel vision, brand-loyal car owners do a lot of chest thumping, but I personally think it could be great.
I am confident all three of the manufacturers would handle it fine, I have never heard any of them put down their competitors.

This new format is hard for me to use, I liked the email set up much better, I check email once an hour, but seldom drift far into cyber world except the STF.
