It has been quite a while since I posted.  No good excuse other than the craziest work schedule I've had in a long time. As the American manufacturing segment grows, so do the demands on my time. It is a good thing financially. However, it is a terrible thing to be on the road for work as much as I have been.

Anyway, the Speedster project is still being worked on whenever I am in Buffalo for more than a few minutes.  The CB Perf motor is bolted in.  The new Weber 44s are on it and the new Magna spark ll is hooked up. The new SS exhaust is bolted up as well as the new Bosch Alternator.  And, (drum roll now!) it starts, runs and holds an idle. Although the idle is too high right now....  Timing is set at 30* at 3500 RPM.  I had a pretty good oil leak from a brass insert fitting going into the external oil filter.  I believe i took care of that issue today.  And, I had an issue with the length of the provided studs for the thinline oil sump cover. I drained the break in oil today and replaced all 8 of those studs with longer ones.  So, fingers crossed, no leaks. The bus engine seal will go in tomorrow along with the heater tubes.  So, with balancing the carbs and the final adjustment on the new tranny, this little red speedster will be better than new??? lol  Who knows, but it has been quite a ride since before Carlisle this spring.   I had to modify my carb balance tool since it was last used on my old Kadrons yeas ago so it would fit on the plates of the Webers. (See pic) Drilled the edges an filed slots to fit over the plate nuts on the Webers. Edelbrock 4025 - Edelbrock Uni-Syn Carburetor Balancing Instruments

By the way, I do lurk here and on faceblob when I have a free minute.  Keep up the great banter guys!  I'll send a video once I have this thing rolling!!! ;-)
