For you collector guys. A friend of mine spotted these at an Antique mart in Coloma, MI at the Great Lakes Antique Center. $45 and $65 for the motorized (doesn't mention if it was a Subie or not :-). He claims it's just off I-94

Stock up on these whenever I see them for sale at reasonable prices on ebay or swap meets. The lower one (non racing version) is more rare and expensive.

There's a couple of Revell Beetle models in the pile as well. That is, if I ever get around to retiring...
Ironically I like the cast white metal ones over the plastic kits. Revelle even made 1:24 metal kits. I like the 1:43 AUTO REPLICAS England models circa 1974. Most of these come in a tube.
