Does anyone here know of a company that makes replica spat's for the rear wheel well's.

The fiberglass taunnu cover has gone by the wayside, but I did find a company that will make the rollbar with removable cross bar for me so the spat's are the last thin to track down.

For those of you who don't know what spat's are.

Contact Fiberjet in Roseville, California. They specialize in Fiberglass fabrication, dune buggy bodies porsche bolt on. I think the owners name is Jim. He fabricated a set of Spat, Fox craft style Fenderskirts for a type III Shelby Cobra replica. www.kitcar.com/fiberjet/home.html 916-783-3198

No such luck, I just bought a 550 spyder so the attention to the outlaw conversion has been shifted into getting the spyder ready to run for knott's. That is if my bank can get off there lazy butt's and send me the money for the car.

I found the rear cover, rims/tire's that I like. (much better grip then the stuff vintage ships that car with) brake conversion parts, a way to fill in the bumper slot's and the rear tray. At this point until the 550 gets here and is ready to be my daily the 356 will have to wait as it is my primary driver right now.

The rear spat's have been excedingly difficult to find, mainly as it was a race only part. At least to the best of my knowledge it was only given to factory backed car's or to special racing customers.

As such they simply are next to impossible to find. That and I doubt anybody would lend me one to make mold's. So I talked to a good friend of mine and he thinks that he can have a local shop fab a set up fo me as a one off deal. Which would let me chose how much of the rear line I want to sacrifice, and pick the way that I want to mount them. Or possibly even blend them into the body for a smoother look. Total cost was about 1K not counting paint but a decent set would be produced and we could make more if we needed to.
