More seat searching

In my idle searching for seats I found a few more that I would like opinions on please.

Some day I will dump my 914 seats but they are covered in matching leather to the rest of the interior so like I say its an idle and slow search for seating. It occurred to me that if a Miata seat fits our speedsters a seat that fits a Miata or 914 will also fit our Speedies. Is there a flaw to my logic?

Interesting that they say Recaro "style" (implying that they are not really Recaro....but have "Recaro" stitched into the seat.

A replica? Knock off etc.

Might have to do with the Asian respect for copyright and trademark laws . . . .

Just saw a program on Chinese auto manufacturing . . . I didn't know that BMW had licensed the new Mini to be built there under a different name. The make a pretty good looking "Buick" as well.

Actually GM build Buicks in Chna. That's their best market, and the Chinese get some better ones than we do. I don't know if it's still true, but at one point Buick was the most respected car line in China. Go figure.

I have miata seats in my car. You'll also have to consider the height of the seat. I mounted my seat as low as possible. I didn't want my head to be sticking above the windshield. I'm not sure how thick those seats are. Also things to consider are the bump outs on the side of the seat. On my pan based chassis, the further you push back the seat the sooner you will hit the tunnel. Beware if you are tall.

love your build. I am not very tall and have a conv D. So I could go with higher seats, but the Miata seats look about the same as my current 914 seats.

I found another link for seats that fit the Miata which logic tells us that will then fit a speedster.

This has many broken links but some good info. Kind of a lot of racing seats though and Id rather go with a roadster style w/headrests myself.

Fits perfekt, sits low and have a thin profile.
