Took a little drive yesterday Feb. 15, 2010 to preview Morro Bay. Temp was in low 80's. People were enjoying themselves in this unusually warm weather. If you haven't signed up for Morro Bay yet, get with it.

What are the security arrangements for the car at this event. I have never been before?

Any thoughts on what insurance co.'s whould say, not having car in a garage?

This would be considered an Event or Show. Should not be a big deal with your insurer.

If you get a room at the host hotel there is covered parking for most of the cars. Security?? We have had this event for years and NEVER had a need for security nor have we had any hint of a problem. Morro Bay is quiet this time of year and we are with our cars almost all of the time. Don't miss it! You will have the best time of your life.

Oh dear, can I come too?

I was starting to seriously worry about having my Speedster ready in time for Morro Bay. I ordered new carpets for the passenger and trunk areas from Kirk on the 18th of March. By the 25th the carpets had only made it to Ontario and back to LA due to being mis-routed by UPS! Well they finally showed up today ---11 days after being shipped! Today I got the passenger area installed and will finish the trunk carpets tomorrow. The carpets were custom made and there was not much time to have a new set made and shipped here plus re-inatall tracks,seats, shifter, top, fittings, etc, etc. Plus I am doing a fair amount of travel here before M. B.

Alan merkin does the passenger area in 7 hours but it took me 9 today. And I had the old carpets as a pattern. I can see 11 hours
with no patterns. I'm not the magicial Alan is!

If anyone else is planning to install Vintage carpets they are welcome to my old carpets that can be used as a pattern. This makes an enormous difference in fit as well as time to do the job.
