Just a note to help inform everyone of the dates for next year's Morro Bay Blast so you can get your calendar marked and vacation times planned.

The date is April 24 - 25

I am still negotiating hotel rates, dinner arrangements and tour routes. Plan on lots of "back country" roads and new sights this year. Sunday is still a wild card for a drive after breakfast ... any suggestions?

Lane, fly into LAX, wear your oldest, filthiest clothes, take a bus to Topanga Canyon, make a cardboard sign that says, "Gas,Grass,or Ass, what ever it takes to ride in your cute little car!" Stand on the side of the PCH right before the Topanga Motel on the morning of April 23rd at about 9 AM. We'll take it from there. Like Jim Morrison said..... "The West is the Best! You get here, we'll do the rest!"

Maybe five years is long enough. If the economy continues to improve, if gas stays below $20 a gallon and the sweet bride is up for it, like she says she is, maybe Morro is a possibility for 2010. It's time for the Red Man to stretch his legs and make the drive across the country again. I'm just sayin'....

RI? Hell no, I-95 stops at Delaware for me. Well, I do make considerations for NYC. :)

The plan is to drive the speedy out and ship it back. Now that I have Gerd's Roadside Assistance I don't have a worry in the world.

April is a long way away so I can't make any commitments as to HOW I'll get there, but I AM going to be there! Whether it's by air or air cooled remains to be seen. :)
