Who needs a ride??? Come one, guys, this is a gathering of the best people in the western SOC and the cars are a great excuse to get together. The LMS and I went to the first two events WITHOUT A CAR!! We rented a (Lord, forgive me) Pontiac and still had a great time. You can do the same. I guarantee you will be having a good time and we will (almost) not notice what you are driving.

See you there.

Happy Trails,
Dusty and the LMS

PS
We just (tonight) got home from Sedona, Arizona, and the national "west coast holiday" for the 356 Registry. Had a great time and there were 251 cars (all 356's) in the Saturday Show. I will post details and pics soon.
I would not drive her coast to coast. But I might would fly out and start thumbing speedsters. to tag along.. Of course I would contribute to the expenses Of any volunteer Meals, fuel, Farting gifts I mean parting gifts..
I would enjoy the heck out of it.. But I never drive someones car If I my car could somehow be there I'd let someone else drive it. that knew the ares well.. No me I"m only brave on familiar turf.
I'm still planning on being there. The "hows" are still undecided. Driving? (911 or Speedster?) Flying? (With the wife or solo? prefer the wife to come along). As it gets closer I'll make final plans. I work better under pressure. :)

Dusty,
Jim is right, I'll be needing one of those stickers for my mirror.

Steve,
Please don't take this the wrong way, but Dammmnnnnnn! That is some sexy $*^t!!! Angela looks smokin driving that car!! Sumpin bout chicks driving bad ass cars that does it for me. What can I say....

Mickey--meet me in Little Rock on Interstate 40 and we'll drive together.

I believe we may have a few or folks caravaning to Morrow Bay.
I guess we should start organizing the trip with meeting places along some route.

Hoss posted a note about not missing the part of Route 66 that runs from Seligman AZ to Needles, CA. Gonna be some adventure, I'm thinking.
Jim,
The wine tours are most of the day Saturday. It is a terrific trip around backcountry roads to three wineries with lunch in the middle of the tour and a stop on top at a high spot for terrific pictures of the coastline. It is being led by Jim ( MUSBJIM ) and Ginny who are known as great drive leaders. After the tour is a bit of a rest break and then the banquet. Be sure to read all the directions about the banquet tickets and the Brown Bag Gift.

Also, be sure to get your room reservation in early to get the great $99 SOC rate.

See you there!

Happy Trails,
Dusty and LMS
Banquet Information.........

Dusty Johnson - SOC Banquet

You will be given a ticket at the door to use to be served. There will be NO tickets available at the door and ALL meals must be prepaid by APRIL 5. (Sorry, no exceptions)

Don't miss out on the banquet ... it is the highlight of the weekend!!

Tomm,
That is great news! You are going to really enjoy this meeting. The daily drives promise to be fun and the evening dining will be filling.

Anyone who does not have their reservations in should do so pretty quick before the rooms are all spoken for. Also, be sure to register on the POLL for the events you plan on attending in order for us to get everything arranged.

MUSBJIM and Ginny will be leading the tour I have laid out for Saturday and they are going to make a practice run a few weeks prior to the event so you know it will be well led and have plenty of time to enjoy the sites and the stops as planned.

One more thing... now is the time to get creative with your Brown Bag Gift. Last year we had some really inventive things show up. I bet this year will outdo it by a long shot.

See you in Morro Bay.

Happy Trails,
Dusty and LMS
Dusty, OMG I finally remembered to call hotel.. Lili and I are IN my friend.. this year we are good.. I am STILL working so no excuses.. LOL.. MAN I am looking forward to this run... Can't wait to see all my SOC buds and especially the east coasters that are coming out.... Now that's commitment.. or maybe they should be committed..
