Just a quick update for those of you sad souls in the East, living vicariously with we Lucky SOCers in the West..........

Yesterday began with a great drive to Cambria where we had a terrific lunch and were privileged to meet two new SOC couples. After lunch we walked around Cambria and sampled their great pie, ice cream and many quaint shops. A brisk drive back to Morro Bay got us there in time to meet the incoming group from the south (almost 20 cars !!). After much hand shaking, hugs and back slapping we adjourned to our annual First Dinner at the Great American Fish Company and had a terrific meal with lots of story telling and NOISE (the other patrons must have wondered how large this family really is as we sounded like a family reunion after many year's separation).

Now I am just waiting until the group gets moving for the morning for breakfast and then we gather by the sea shore for pictures and driver instructions for the day's drive through the wine country.

Weather is beautiful with lots of sun and warmth. Today should be a record setter for fun. Speaking of record setters .... yesterday we saw something like 44 cars pull in and some 55 for dinner. I will give official counts after tonight's banquet.

Pictures will follow tomorrow.

Happy Trails,
