I believe that we are done, but I don't have a list. I will contact the Hilton to see if they will give me that info, but I seem to remember that the were reluctant to last year due to privacy concerns. Better would be if we all chimed in here. I will be there for the Bavarian dinner, but Pam has not committed, so consider me solo unless I tell you otherwise.

Everyone else?

Aaron: Who has provided menu choices to you so far?

Cost is $7.00 per person, and I have reserved a tour for fifteen (15) individuals. I will be paying the tab for this upfront, and refunds are only available for cancelations made 48 hours prior.
You can reimburse me on the day of the tour.

Lane, please prepare list of folks attending the tour & rally point in the Asheville area at lunchtime, prior to heading down to Spartanburg.
John--I have asked Jake to a bunch of things and he's just not into gatherings at all. I will email him though and direct him to this thread and we'll see.

Looking forward to being with you and Sarah too! I have always thought that owning a Speedster was only about half the fun and the other half is the people you are with at these gatherings.
Felix and Richard---are you still planning to meet up part way to Ashevlle?

The trip from Hot Springs is right at 700 miles and we are thinking about stopping in Nashville Wed night (402 miles) then on to Asheville Thurs (291 miles). If we go via Birmingham then it's an 800 mile trip so I think Nashville is our best route.

If you met us in Nashville that would add 230 miles to your trip to Asheville so that's not much of an option.
End of an Era:

I have decided to sell my Vintage Widebody. I will be at the September gathering, and I will lead the tour to the BMW plant on 9/9/11.

I love driving this car, but I simply do not fit well into them (my right leg is always jammed up against the shifter (was the case w/ the IM as well), and I need to make room in the garage for a new arrival.

I have it listed on this forum, and on eBay.

See you in 5 weeks
Tom--I had the same problem ---my right leg was always jammed up against the shifter---BUT I found a solution---a simple pillow
maybe 12" square. Stuffed fairly hard and with a durable canvas cover to match my interior. Just slip that baby between the right side of my leg and the shifter and I'm good to go. I had some discomfort just like you describe on my first few long trips but the pillow idea solved it 100%.

Try this before you sell that nice Speedster!!
