Thanks to Tom for letting me know what's happnin'.  I am indeed back on the high seas, and will be working until early September.  The plan is for Christine to come over to Italy and we are going to tour around our old stomping grounds, and catch up with some old friends until near the end of the month.  If the MM schedule shifts farther into the fall season, I would be in.  But as it stands, I have to regretfully decline.

Wow been a while since I have been on here. Have discovered not only do heart issues slow you down they are expensive. We will probably not make it this year. Becky managed to convince me to see a doctor they found 80% blockage in rt coronary which had slowed me down quite a bit. Better now just have a monster hole in my pocket wiped out my speedster fund and then some.Cest la vie at least I will be around to save up some more for another car. I vote Smokies as always but if you haven't made the low country trip it is well worth it. Ride safe all

Ok, I have the Hilton in Asheville set, just waiting to sign and send contract back when I get home tomorrow.  I will post all the reservation info on Monday or Tuesday when I get the links.

Rate is $159 a night up $10 from last year, thats a deal since the Govt rate is $139 and AAA is $219.

Did I forget anything?

I did a ride last weekend chasing my brother-in-law in his 2012 Corvette, it's a pretty good ride to consider - lots of hills and turns.

102 miles about 2.5 hours of riding.  Leave Hotel a little before lunch and drive to Pisgah Inn, eat lunch and then drive to Rosman via 215, stop at a Ice Cream Shop #5, then ride up  64 through Pisgah Forest back to the parkway then back to hotel.

215 and 64 through Pisgah Forest are some nice winding roads.

Something to consider.

Ok the rooms are all set-up and you can make reservations until August 7.  We have 10  rooms for Fri & Sat and 2 rooms for Thur & Sun if needed.

You can book your rooms online by clicking on the link below or you may call the hotel directly, make sure you tell them you are with the Speedster Owners Club.

So go ahead and make your reservation and if more rooms are needed we should be able to get them if available.

As Tom asked above the cancelation policy is:

Failure to cancel your reservation within 72 hours prior to your arrival or failure to show on your day of arrival will result in a charge that is equal to the first night’s stay to your credit card for each room reserved.  Failing to call or show before 2:00 am after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation.
