I can't wait for this trip! I just ordered my iPhone 5 early this morning and it mercifully won't be arriving until after the trip :-). This trip will cap off the best season ever.  I got my car out of storage with the top down in 80 degree weather in March.  Not too long after this trip, Natalie will be returning home to Bremen to winter and get another round of upgrades.  A very satisfying year.  Next year, Carlisle, for sure.  Jack's working on me to drive to CA next year.  I would love that, but need to wait for the little one to get a tad older.  It definitely sounds like a cool idea.  I'm hoping that the CA crew makes an even bigger appearance next year at Carlisle and brings GERD with them.

Joe, I guess I don't have to call you and tell the same story.  Every needy last minute client of mine came out of the woodworks this week and I have to attend meetings both Thursday and Friday.  In addition, my son took a bad spill on a hard floor in PE and ended up in the hospital yesterday.  He has a bad concussion but luckily all the other test ran are negative.  I am really bummed as the weather looks to be perfect in Asheville NC.

I have been invited to run with the FuelFed group to WI the weekend of Oct 6th.  These are some of the PCA guys and other classic import group that do events in the area.  Let me know if your interested. It's an overnighter into Central WI with lunch, back-road touring, a visit to some guys racing car collection, dinner, and a cars and coffee in small WI town Sunday morning.  Looks like they have 15 cars.  Its limited to 25 cars and 50 people.  This will be a good one to bring your wife to.  Let me know if interested.

Tom, bummer is an understatement.  Please enjoy for us who cant attend and show what a beautiful place this is.  I cant believe we do not get more people interested in this event.  Maybe it needs to be more planned out to get people on board.    I guess there will always be those who drive and attend the events and those who just rub their Tubs with a diaper.  I am for driving

Tom planned to get up early this morning to do the Tail of the Dragon and then meet us at the museum.  He texted me that it was too chilly and foggy, and that he would start later and skip the museum.  I think he was just beat and slept in.

The museum crowd today will be just Jack and Alice, Leon and Margaret, and me.  We should have at least a couple more folks for the Blue Ridge Parkway cruise to Little Switzerland and the Diamondback tomorrow.

For the record, I was up at 5:30 :-).  Waited until about 8.  Fog was supposed to lift around 10 and wanted to be there at that time.  Chilly ride with the top up, but sun came out, top came down and I had two great runs.  Caught up with the group as they were finishing lunch and cruised back with them.  Looking forward to group dinner tonight.  I think I get to meet Pam Anderson!
