Gayla and I are going to take a weekend trip to Mountain View, Arkansas for a Spring tour and a VW show/tour/BBQ May 20th-22d. Mt View is a fun town, lots of shops, a town square, and blue grass/folk jam sessions on corners of the square each weekend.

Anyway, I am posting the event and where we will stay just in case anyone from the Heartland area is interested. North Central and Northwestern Arkansas communities were established by German and Central European settlers and so there is a strong interest in German cars. There is a suprising number of vintage VW/Porsche in the area. We have been to the Eureka Springs show in August, and it has a large draw from a 5 state area. The Mountain View show may be more modest..... but it is a chance to get out, drop the top, and enjoy the trip. The roads into Mt View are all two lane twisties..

I am not trying to organize anything.. as this is short notice. But if anyone else is going, send us a p-mail. The show may be a bust.. but the roads, scenery, music, and town are worth the drive.
