The church was FULL, for Mr. Bill's (Webster) Memorial Service. Bill touched alot of lives, obviously. It was good to see, and talk with, everyone from the Speedster Group. I know Bill was smiling today !

My condolences again, to his son Robert, and his girlfriend Nancy.

A special thanks to Gerd and Carol, for sharing their home, food, and beer with all of us. Thanks everyone, see you next Saturday for the Auto Museum gathering.

Just returned from the day's activities...
The church in Pasadena was built in 1898, and was really bitchen.
almost makes me want to go back into the fold....Ah, I said almost...
Service was short but sweet, took a few pic's of some Attendees, and also some collages that were made in Bill's memory, they show him throughout the ages, I hope they came out OK, I will post them later.
Special thanks to Carol and Gerd for opening their house to the SOC, I don't care what they say about you buddy, your aces in my book...
Nancy, I am so sorry for your incredible loss, I do believe Bill was one of a kind.....
There is a memorial sticker that was handed out at the Service, I think there was a bunch left over for those of you who could'nt make it but would like to have one....Maybe Gerd can see that you get one...
Bill was quite an extraordinary man who positively touched those he came in contact with - it was truly a pleasure meeting Robert, Nancy and many of Bill's friends today. We were so fortunate to have met Bill and spent some time with him.

Hard to believe it was just 4 months ago we were crusin with him, Barkley and the gang through Angeles Hwy, stopping off for lunch and to throw snowballs.

Thank you Gerd and Carol for opening your home to the SOC'ers. XOXO

RIP Mr Bill.

The service was short and sweet. I missed not having a eulogy, but I think the church was short on time. We did talk a lot about Bill and his life at Gerd's. Thanks man for doing that. I hope this service can now help Robert (Bill's son), all of his family and friends and Nancy to finish the process and take with them the memories of a great Dad and friend and move on in their lives. Rest In Peace, Mr. Bill.
As everyone has already said, the service had quite a turn out. Mr. Bill was a wonderful man who was a great joy to be around and that definitely showed in his memorial service.

Thank you to Carol and Gerd for hosting our gathering yesterday. It was nice to be able to spend the time with some of our fellow SOC.

Nancy, Robert, and everyone else for whom Bill's passing was a tremendous loss, you continue to be in my thoughts. My love goes out to you.

If all services were this short, to the point and filled with good people celebrating the life of the person who passed, I wouldn't go so begrudgingly. Mr Bill's service was truly a celebration of his life as we knew him in the SOC. Mr Bill gave us all a great deal in sharing his life with us and his passing made us pause to reflect on our own lives.

I will remember Mr Bill daily when I place my Mr Bill decal on the front of my locker. Each day I will take heed in it's saying, "It's not the years in your life, it's the life in your years!"

For those of you who couldn't be there, I am sorry. For those who were, I enjoyed our time together and our reflection on Bill's life. He would have wanted the day to be just as it was.

Carol and Gerd, you are both very amazing and extremely generous to have opened your home to us. I know the day was very tough for Carol, but she put that aside to be the ultimate hostess. I know losing Bill was tough on you both, but his lessons to us will make us better people for the future.

Nancy and Bill's family, I cannot put into words how sorry I am for your loss. Seeing everyone at Bill's service shows us all that just by knowing him was our gift. For that I am thankful. Thank you all for sharing Bill with each of us!!

I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT WAS STANDING ROOM ONLY AT THE FUNERAL SERVICES. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE PERSON BILL WAS. I WAS ALMOST LATE AS I COULD NOT GET CARROL TO GET DRESSED TO LEAVE. SHE JUST DIDN'T WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE HE IS TRUELY GONE. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR STOPPING BY OUR HOME TO CELEBRATE BILL'S LIFE. NANCY WAS SO APPRECIATIVE OF ALL YOUR SUPPORT AND KIND WORDS. I PROMISED HER WE WOULD KEEP HER VERY INVOLVED WITH OUR GROUP. SEE U ALL SOON.
PS: WE TOOK MR BILL TO THE FINAL DODGER GAME OF THE YEAR TODAY.

So glad to hear that everything went well for Bill's service. I have been out of the country for 12 days and I am sure that I missed alot, so sorry that I was unable to attend, but my thoughts were with everyone on Saturday, I was remembering Bill with his dog in the speedster, so loved that!!!

Again, my condolences to his lovely Nancy and his adoring family.
