Msd Ignition

Anyone have any expierience with MSD Ignition systems or MSD coils? I Installed a system on my 72 super beetle and it made it run a lot smoother, but will it help my 1641 at all. I don't have any problems with my engine right now, just looking for a little extra juice. Wil

My Son and I have a race car shop. Big and small block Chevies. Any car we build goes out with MSD ignition. Great and reliable hardware. That said I would never add one expecting to see ANY horsepower increase. jkl

I have both on my 2110, not period correct but very smooth. I would recommend the switch.

I have run a M.S.D.7al. in my 2275 drag bug. A great ingnition
for everyday use also. Plug in the RPM chip you want to max at
and you'll never over rev. you engine, a great feature!

Will, when I had my 2110 built I added a CD box, special wires, and Mallory Unilite distributor. What a combination! I don't know if it added any hp, but the car sure started quicker and I passed 'air care' (emissions) with ease....something I'd had trouble with in the past. The car just seemed lighter on its feet.

Oooohhh!!!

We've been trying to get an MSD 6AL to work in the drag car without any luck. Does ANYONE have the diagram for connecting this box in a VW. We've long lost the direction booklet.

Could someone/ANYONE please email me a diagram on what goes where, and what adapter plugs we need to buy. The part numbers would hurt either. Even a link to a site with the info.diagram would help get us started.

Any help AT ALL would be greatly appreciated ! ! !
