What a Glorious day it was !  Totally sunny and clear. A little cool at altitude (around 6000 ft) with a "Bracing' Breeze"! There were 5 of us to start but Bill Nash got surprised with his hood in his face at speed so he was really bummed out and retired early. Will, I sure you know the feeling ! Mine happened two days after a new paint job.

So we stopped at the Observatory on top and took a walking tour of all the telescope facilities and stopped to admire a Corvette Club (about 20 cars) that was parked in the same lot. I thought it was interesting that a lot of passers-by stopped to admire our Speedies more than the herd of Vettes. Not to take away anything from the Corvette's, I went over to admire a 2017 that was white with everything else black. Beautiful Car ! The new style is a significant improvement !

We continued past Mt Wilson on a road circuit that eventually ends up back in Angeles Crest Hwy towards home but not before we stopped at a little picnic area on the roadside by a unique tunnel. We parked the Speedies, took a couple photos, had lunch chased with a little wine and had some nice conversation. Duration of the trip was about 4 hours and (I'm guessing here) about 40 miles RT.

I'd like to do another one of these cruises in Sept. but go up Azusa Canyon and head east over the ridge to end up in Mt. Baldy Village for a late lunch at one of the restaurants there.

I hope all of you have a good time at the San Luis Obispo event/cruise. I can't attend because we are leaving for Loreto Baja Mexico for some Diving, Fishing and Exploring.   I gave Tom Murtaugh some Wind Wings, Visors , Foot pegs and door Pulls to put in the Raffle so I hope you get lucky for the ones you'd like to get.

Here's a couple photos of our cruise..............Bruce

Robert....When is the Hoe Tour ?

Name correction......I got Bills last name wrong. It wasn't Nash and I have now forgotten what it is. Same with the Gray/Silver Coupe guy but Tom  knows who he is. By the way Tom's car has a Subaru engine and it was working great...Hauls the freight !

Also the driver of the coupe definitely knows how to handle his car. The red 911 is not a Replica. The driver is a friend of Tom as well.......Bruce
